Services Offered
We provide private midwifery, lactation consultation, and postpartum support services, including:
- Antenatal planning and preparation
- Holistic postpartum care
- Lactation/feeding support through home visits and phone/video consultations
These services are personalised, evidence-based and within my scope of practice as per our midwife standards of practice Here and the IBCLC Code of professional conduct Here
Anything outside my scope of practice with be referred to an appropriate healthcare provider as per the ACM’s National Midwifery Guidelines for Consultation and referral Here

1. Booking and Payment
- All appointments are confirmed only upon receipt of full payment at the time of booking.
- Payment can be made securely via bank transfer or the online booking system.
- If a payment fails, the booking will be automatically cancelled.
- All appointments booked more than 10km from Mermaid Waters Qld will incur a travel charge. Travel fee – 0.88 cents per km over 10km from Mermaid Waters.
2. Private Health funds/Medicare
- If you have private health insurance, you are responsible for liaising directly with your private health fund to determine if you are eligible for private health benefits in respect of the services you receive from The Womb Rooms, Clare Keys. A paid tax recipt will be provided.
- Medicare details will be taken at time of booking and any Medicare rebatable services will be claimed by The Womb Rooms on your behalf and refunded into your account.
3. Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Client-Initiated Cancellations:
- Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled appointment will be refunded, less a $25 administrative fee.
- Cancellations within 48 hours of the appointment will be refunded 50% of the total product/service.
- Rescheduling:
- Rescheduling is permitted up to 48 hours before the appointment, subject to availability. There will be no fee for this. Rescheduling after 48 hours will incur a $25 administration fee.
- Provider-Initiated Cancellations:
- If we need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, you will be offered a full refund or an alternative date at your convenience.
- Medical, emergency or unavoidable situations will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please email clare@thewombrooms.com.au with any cancellation, rescheduling requirements.
4. Delivery of Services (business hours, ongoing support)
- The Womb Rooms business hours are Monday – Friday 9 – 5pm unless otherwise specified. Correspondence, phone calls and support outside of these hours are at the discretion of the Lactation Consultant.
- All packages on the website include 3 – 7 days of ongoing email support depending on the service you received.
- If ongoing support outside this length of time is required a follow up appointment can be arranged.
5. Dispute resolution process
- The Womb Rooms are committed to their clients and their customer satisfaction. If, in the event you are unhappy with the Services provided by The Womb Rooms, we encourage you to contact us at clare@thewombrooms.com.au to discuss your complaint and rectify if appropriate.

6. Privacy and Confidentiality
- Personal information collected during the booking process or consultations is stored securely using a third-party, cloud-based system.
- We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality and privacy of all client records, in compliance with applicable privacy laws.

7. Use of Website and Content
- All content on this website, including blogs, images, and resources, is owned by The Womb Rooms unless otherwise credited.
- You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any content without prior written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Womb Rooms and its staff are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from the use of this website or services.
- All services are provided on the understanding that clients assume full responsibility for decisions related to their healthcare and that of their child.
9. Indemnification
- You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless The Womb Rooms, Clare Keys from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, made by any third party due to, or arising out of, your breach of these Terms of Service or the documents they incorporate by reference, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third-party.
